What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimisation. SEO is all about making sure that your website shows up on page 1 or 2 of Google whenever somebody searches using agreed keywords relevant to your site’s content.
What does SEO do?
SEO is a way of generating traffic to your site by getting your webpage or website content to rank high in search engine results pages. SEO will make sure that your site appears when somebody uses the keywords in your SEO campaign. SEO can also be used for other things, such as social media marketing, blog commenting, and making backlinks to boost SEO rankings. Still, SEO is most commonly used for increasing the number of visitors to a website by making sure that it appears on page one or two.
What SEO can not do;
SEO cannot legally guarantee you traffic and sales. SEO is simply a way of marketing and advertising your site, and if nobody searches for the keywords related to your site’s content, then SEO won’t be able to help you. SEO can not make people buy from your website. SEO will, however, make sure that more visitors are visiting your website by making it appear higher in the search results when someone searches for agreed keywords related to your business. Still, SEO on its own is simply a means of internet marketing. SEO can boost your website’s SEO rankings. SEO will not make people visit your website or buy from you.
Search Engine Optimisation is a process that optimizes your website for search engines, so it ranks higher in organic searches. This can be achieved by making sure the content on your site matches what people are looking for when they enter certain keywords and phrases into their browser.
